Remediating buildings through the Cladding Safety Scheme

11 November 2025

This webinar was run jointly with the LGA, whose members face the same challenges when it comes to remediation, and have committed to the same deadlines through the joint plan.

At the Spending Review in June 2025, the government announced that it would give equal access to building safety funding. The following month, the Cladding Safety Scheme was opened under the new equal access rules, at the same time that the sector and the government launched the joint plan to accelerate social housing remediation and improve resident experience. The sector committed to meeting the remediation deadlines set out in the plan, and the Cladding Safety Scheme will be the main source of funding for this.

During this webinar, we talked through the fund, applications, and the new National Remediation System (NRS).
